Mitigation FAQ

A radon mitigation system is a series of components designed to reduce radon gas levels in your home. It typically includes a vent pipe, a radon fan, and sealing of foundation cracks and openings.
The system draws radon gas from beneath your home and vents it safely above the roofline, preventing it from entering your living spaces.
Our systems are designed to be quiet and as unobtrusive as possible. Fans are often placed in attics, garages, or outside areas that are not highly visible.
A basic installation takes 1-2 days with minimal disruption to your home.
Either a visual or audible indicator will be installed letting you know that the fan is working or has stopped working. Testing is the only way to ensure that the system is performing properly.
Periodically checking the visual indicator is the best way to make sure that the fan is running. If the fan starts making an irregular noise there is a problem and the fan may need to be replaced.
